People search “black mold” when they see dark growth on drywall after a leak. Color does not tell you the species, and you do not need a lab name to start. If you can see it or smell it, it comes out, and the moisture that fed it has to go.
We are state licensed for mold assessment and remediation. Containment first so spores do not tour the rest of the house. Then removal of the damaged material, drying, and clearance — not bleach on a ten-foot patch and a coat of paint.
This page is not medical advice. The CDC’s line still holds: fix the moisture, remove the growth. If anyone in the house is having trouble breathing, that is a doctor, then a restoration crew.
If water is still moving or the structure is smoking, call (407) 900-8996. Do not wait on the form.
